I downloaded the prebuilt binaries of Apache and Php3 for
IRIX and found that the httpd executable was actually
for Sparc 1.

Source:  Tried all three North American sites
Error:
  run the file command on the httpd executable and get

http-php/bin/httpd:   ELF 32-bit MSB executable SPARC Version 1

I tried grabbing the Sparc distributions hoping someone had simply swapped them accidentally, but no luck.
