I have built PHP with both the options --enable-gd and --with-freetype-dir=DIR
but it doesn't seems working.

Actual result:

Your code says imageftbbox but the error message says imageftbox. Which is it?

I mistyped the error reporting, It says imageftbbox

If used literally, it won't work.  You actually have to specify
the directory where libfreetype can be found, or just use

 --with-freetype-dir

Anyhow, please check the generated config.log file.  This likely
shows some freetype related error.

Also check gd_info() or php_info() whether freetype is supported.
