i need to convert "normal-quotes" to  ?smart-quotes"  in some text-files that i display via php3.

i'd love to have an optional 3th parameter to strpos which gives it an offset where to start searching -
that way i can find the 1st match of a character change it and then strpos from there to the next occurance. if i have to "loop" over the text using a php for loop it is very slow.....

i'v created a patch that implements this, please mail me if you're interested.
