Description:
------------
http://php.net/manual/en/function.next.php

Note: You won't be able to distinguish the end of an array from a boolean FALSE element. To properly traverse an array which may contain FALSE elements, see the each() function.

While this is technically still true, telling people to use deprecated functionality is poor form.

This bug has been fixed in the documentation's XML sources. Since the
online and downloadable versions of the documentation need some time
to get updated, we would like to ask you to be a bit patient.

Thank you for the report, and for helping us make our documentation better.

FTR: fixed in <http://svn.php.net/viewvc?view=revision&revision=342935>
