When you do this very basic math and json_encode the result, the number encoded is not the one expected. 
It turns back to the right value when decoded.

Test script:
---------------
$number = 0.95*3;
echo $number."\n";
echo $json = json_encode([$number])."\n";
echo $array = json_decode($json)[0];

Expected result:
----------------
2.85
[2.85]
2.85

Actual result:
--------------
2.85
[2.8499999999999996]
2.85

Floating point values have a limited precision. Hence a value might 
not have the same string representation after any processing. That also
includes writing a floating point value in your script and directly 
printing it without any mathematical operations.
