The documentation states that this function is available for "PHP 5, PHP 7 >= 5.3.0, PHP 7".
The part "PHP 7 >= 5.3.0" appears to be malformed, as 7 should always be larger/newer than 5.3.0

This bug has been fixed in the documentation's XML sources. Since the
online and downloadable versions of the documentation need some time
to get updated, we would like to ask you to be a bit patient.
