From manual page:
The first note box states "...checking if mysqli_stmt_result_metadata() returns NULL" which it never does according to it's manual page ( "Returns a result object or FALSE if an error occurred."

Expected result:
...checking if mysqli_stmt_result_metadata() returns FALSE and mysqli_stmt_errno() returns 0.

Actual result:
...checking if mysqli_stmt_result_metadata() returns NULL.

Thanks for the report. The fix has been suggested earlier this year as a PR[1] and the relevant documentation note was updated.
