This bug is created based on #62479.  The middle portion of the password works fine at the pdo_pgsql layer, but not so with beginning/ending backslashes at the PDO layer.

I didn't see anything in the code that would cause issues here. I was also able to run the test suite using a test user that had a password starting with a backslash.

This was fixed and committed ya few years ago.Guess I forgot to close it.
