Submitted: 2013-09-19 10:15 UTC Modified: 2016-11-18 21:08 UTC
From: oriol dot saludes at mobifriends dot com Assigned:
Status: Wont fix Package: APC (PECL)
PHP Version: Irrelevant OS: Debian
Private report: No CVE-ID: None
 [2013-09-19 10:15 UTC] oriol dot saludes at mobifriends dot com
Description:
------------
When apc.shm_size is set larger than 2000M, APC only uses 32M.
Is it not possible to have bigger cache?
Versions with this problem: 3.1.6 and 3.1.9 (latest stable).

Test script:
---------------
apc.rfc1867 = on
apc.rfc1867_freq = 10k
apc.max_file_size=20M
apc.shm_segments=2
apc.shm_size=3000M
apc.optimization=0
apc.ttl=0
apc.user_ttl=7200
apc.num_files_hint=1024
apc.slam_defense=off
apc.write_lock=1

Expected result:
----------------
APC should have 3G to use.

Actual result:
--------------
APC uses only 32M

APC is no longer supported in favor of opcache that comes bundled with PHP, if you wish to use the user cache, then look at PECL/APCu.
