hi,

i try to compil 
Apache 1.3.12 with PHP 4.0.1pl2
whith Zend optimizer (last version) with support for MySQL
everything is good until the link :

my configure line is when i have the first error message :

./configure  --with-mysql
 --with-apache=../apache_1.3.12 --enable-track-vars --with-config-file-path=/etc/Configuration/php/Conf --with-ftp --enable-trans-sid --disable-debug --enable-safe-mode --with-exec-dir=/etc/Configuration/php/Bin


then i change the configure line to :

./configure  --with-mysql=/usr --with-apache=../apache_1.3.12 --enable-track-vars --with-config-file-path=/etc/Configuration/php/Conf --with-ftp --enable-trans-sid --disable-debug --enable-safe-mode --with-exec-dir=/etc/Configuration/php/Bin

and now i got :

/usr/lib/mysql/libmysqlclient.a(my_compress.o): In function `my_uncompress':
my_compress.o(.text+0x97): undefined reference to `uncompress'
/usr/lib/mysql/libmysqlclient.a(my_compress.o): In function `my_compress_alloc':

hi,

i try to make the same thing on an over machine 
and everything work fine
the only but perhaps big difference  between the 2 machine is :

* on the machine where it work fine i have MySQL 3.22.32-1 (rpm version)
* on the machine where i got the error i have MySQL 3.23.22-1 (RPM version)

Is it a Mysql Prob or a PHP4 ?

Please try PHP 4.0.3 and report back whether this
problem still exists with it.

And it's --enable-ftp (not --with-ftp)
