despite popular belief the win32 platform is used as a platform for servers. I love php but it makes it very difficult for development as well as actual use when the win32 biniaries do not come with all the extensions. I have a serious need for the crypt and dbase extensions. I need them on the win32 platform. Not having them has pushed my project over due. For some people php3 would be an easy out but in my case that was not an option. I have found a way around this, but I wanted to make a point that Win32 is a popular server solution and not supporting it make php about as propretairy as a mac.

many dlls are available for a long time, but not bundled with the releases (not yet)
