I think that we miss explanation about the new (or not) multibyte handling in 
PHP5.4

Examples :
"detect_unicode" INI setting has been renamed "zend.detect_unicode" in 5.4. The 
doc doesn't reflect that.
"detect_unicode" is said to be deprecated in doc, but it doesnt seem to be the 
case as of PHP5.4

"zend.script_encoding" is not documented at all

"zend.multibyte"'s doc is incomplete. It doesnt tell what it does, what it is 
usefull for, and nothing about internal transliteration.

Nothing is said about mbstring dependency AFAIK, that should be mentioned 
somewhere
