SoapServer::setPersistence is poorly documented and unclear about its actual 
behavior.   I have clarified its behavior in the attached patch and removed any 
mention of that it can be used on combination with setObject because according to 
the php source that is not so.

The attached patch would also fix bug:
Bug #51475: setPersistance not possible with setObject

This bug has been fixed in the documentation's XML sources. Since the
online and downloadable versions of the documentation need some time
to get updated, we would like to ask you to be a bit patient.
