My PHP version is actually 5.3.3 (the choice was not available in the drop down-above).

I get the following error when I try to compile APC:

/bin/sh /opt/apc/APC-3.0.19/libtool --mode=compile gcc -O3 -I. -I/opt/apc/APC-3.0.19 -DPHP_ATOM_INC -I/opt/apc/APC-3.0.19/include -I/opt/apc/APC-3.0.19/main -I/opt/apc/APC-3.0.19 -I/opt/php533/include/php -I/opt/php533/include/php/main -I/opt/php533/include/php/TSRM -I/opt/php533/include/php/Zend -I/opt/php533/include/php/ext -I/opt/php533/include/php/ext/date/lib -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -O3 -c /opt/apc/APC-3.0.19/php_apc.c -o php_apc.lo
 gcc -O3 -I. -I/opt/apc/APC-3.0.19 -DPHP_ATOM_INC -I/opt/apc/APC-3.0.19/include -I/opt/apc/APC-3.0.19/main -I/opt/apc/APC-3.0.19 -I/opt/php533/include/php -I/opt/php533/include/php/main -I/opt/php533/include/php/TSRM -I/opt/php533/include/php/Zend -I/opt/php533/include/php/ext -I/opt/php533/include/php/ext/date/lib -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -O3 -c /opt/apc/APC-3.0.19/php_apc.c -fPIC -DPIC -o .libs/php_apc.o

We do not support 3.0.19, please update to apc 3.1.x (although its beta)

I'm running into the same thing... you mean to say you don't support your last stable version and you have multiple in beta? WTH? I'm not installing APC manually, I'm executing a PECL install of apc. What are my alternatives now??
