When fullpath with any dot used, Phar throw [UnexpectedValueException]: 
Cannot create phar '/some/path/lo.mytests/package.phar', file extension (or combination) not recognised. 

Same test with any real path and without dot, accepted correctly. 

Reproduce code:
---------------
$fname = '/some/path/lo.mytests/package.phar';

try {
	$myphar = new Phar($fname);
} catch (Exception $e){
	var_dump($e);
}


Expected result:
----------------
no UnexpectedValueException for paths with dots

This bug has been fixed in CVS.

In case this was a documentation problem, the fix will show up at the
end of next Sunday (CET) on pecl.php.net.

In case this was a pecl.php.net website problem, the change will show
up on the website in short time.

This bug was reported informally and fixed some months ago in CVS, but we don't have a record of it elsewhere so thanks for reporting it here.

This test:

http://cvs.php.net/viewvc.cgi/pecl/phar/tests/phar_dotted_path.phpt

still passes under CVS, so I'm closing this report.
