I am unable to install "pecl fileinfo" on a 64 bit machine. I can install it on my test box which is a 32 bit machine. My OS on both boxes is Suse Linux Enterprise Server 10 - SP1. I am running PHP 5.1.2-29.4, Apache2.2.3-16.15, and MySQL5.0.26-12.16. I am puzzled. Please advise.

*** My Terminal Output *******

Something's wrong with the bug tracker. This bug is certainly not fixed in CVS, so ignore that part of my previous comment ...

The reporter confirmed to me directly that this is not an issue in recent versions of PHP anymore.
