I tried working with Win32 COM in PHP generated page but I've got this lovely message :

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: com_load() in c:/Apache/htdocs/php/index.php on line 87

(browser: MSIE 5.01)

In PHP 4 the COM interface is via PHP class overloading and not with the old PHP 3 mechanism. Check out php4/tests/testcom in the PHP 4 source for an example on how to use COM in PHP 4.
