PHP5 compains that the package is not a valid library

Warning: dl() [function.dl]: Invalid library (maybe not a PHP library) 'ecasound.so' 

Is PHP4 required? If so, what can be done to support PHP5?

Due to this extension not seeing any activity since 2003, this issue will not be fixed. We are therefore closing this now.
