Unfortunately, I think, I can't fix the HAVE_EXT magic for gcc-2, but just disable it.

This patch should get the build back to work:

This bug has been fixed in CVS.

In case this was a documentation problem, the fix will show up at the
end of next Sunday (CET) on pecl.php.net.

In case this was a pecl.php.net website problem, the change will show
up on the website in short time.

Thank you for the report, and for helping us make PECL better.

Can you please verify that CVS works for you?

Thank you!

Note that changes comitted to CVS are different than the posted patch. If there are no further issues, I'll release it as 1.0.1.

Thanks.

Yes, the patch fixes the issue for FreeBSD 4.x installations.

Thank you.
 [2006-06-13 12:52 UTC] mike@php.net
Hrm... the obsolete patch posted here or the one from latest CVS?

Sorry. :)
[2006-06-13 13:12 UTC] zaa at zaa dot pp dot ru
Both of them work OK for me.
Checkout of pecl/http from CVS compiles without any errors on FreeBSD 4.11 with gcc 2.95.4

Thank you.
