The extension does not build with the following error of autoconf when trying to build with automake 1.9.

Sorry, but your problem does not imply a bug in PECL itself.  For a
list of more appropriate places to ask for help using PECL, please
visit http://pecl.php.net/support.php as this bug system is not the
appropriate forum for asking support questions.

You may also want to make sure your build tools work and try the latest release.

You will probably understand I don't even remember the reason why I submitted to PECL and nowhere else.
In the meantime, I don't even use php-ssh anymore.
As a result, you may safely close this bug.

Fair enough. I've only recently picked up the extension, but I'm trying to give the old bug reports some care. :)
