Scripts will terminate (immediately) when an error occured while accessing databases.

Reproduce code:
class xPDO
public static $pdo;
        public function connect ()
                $dsn = 'mssql:host=; dbname=mydb';
                $user = 'error_user';
                $password = 'error_passwd';
                try {
                $this->pdo = new PDO($dsn, $user, $password);
                } catch (PDOException $e) {
                   echo 'Connection failed: ' . $e->getMessage();
$a = new xPDO();

Expected result:
The statement is excuted normally and throws error information.

Actual result:
script crash

Unfortunately you are not using a current version of PHP -- 
the problem might already be fixed. Please download a new
PHP version from

If you are able to reproduce the bug with one of the latest
versions of PHP, please change the PHP version on this bug report
to the version you tested and change the status back to "Open".
