Request #56356 "open" column is misleading in bug stats

Description:
------------
The "open" column in the bug stats lists the number of bugs with status "open", however in the search system "open" means "open" + "verified" + "assigned" + "analyzed". It would be nice to have another column "in progress" in the stats and rename the "open" search filter to this name as well for clarity.

alternatively one could try to look for a new name for "open". however "new" is also not right cause currently the status "open" is also given to bugs that have been "reopened". then again it might be nice to differentiate between "new" and "reopened" bugs in the status...

What about "Unresolved"? That's what Bugzilla uses.

Sorry, but your problem does not imply a bug in PEAR itself. For a
list of more appropriate places to ask for help using PEAR, please
visit http://pear.php.net/support/ as this bug system is not the
appropriate forum for asking support questions.

Thank you for your interest in PEAR.

Assigned is actually what you are looking for. Open means "new" or "renew" here.

When someone is working on a bug or will work on it, the bug status is "assigned".

About the bug stats, it displays the real status of the bug, the one which is set in the database, and not the magic "open" used in the search script.

I mark this bug as bogus, please assigned it to me if you consider that we must change something, but please with some details (discuss them on pear.qa?).
