Private report: No CVE-ID: None
[2004-07-13 14:16 UTC] danielc at analysisandsolutions dot com
Description:
------------
Assignment to $this is illegal in PHP 5. This is done three times in include/xmlrpc-cache.php.

While the live server is still in PHP 4, it will eventually be upgraded.

In addition, I, and I assume others, test pearweb on development boxes that run PHP 5.

Reproduce code:
---------------
1) Install PHP 5
2) Upload a new release.
3) Press the validate button.

Expected result:
----------------
Released.

Actual result:
--------------
Error about assignment to $this on line 51 of include/xmlrpc-cache.php

end of next Sunday (CET) on pear.php.net.

In case this was a pear.php.net website problem, the change will show
up on the website in short time.
