Submitted: 2004-06-17 09:55 UTC Modified: 2004-06-26 23:48 UTC
From: xuefer at 21cn dot com Assigned: gschlossnagle (profile)
Status: Closed Package: APC (PECL)
PHP Version: 4.3.3 OS: linux
Private report: No CVE-ID: None
 [2004-06-17 09:55 UTC] xuefer at 21cn dot com
Description:
------------
APC cvs HEAD
apc_cache_info();

most of the files has ref_count==0
some in range(0, 10)
some >1000
and even, of of it is ref_count==hits
by the time this bug is report, ref_count>6000
this make it impossible to do apc_clear_cache() for those files

should be a bug? or just incomplete function?
as i read the code, apc_deactivate() is never used

apc_main.c
/* {{{ request init and shutdown */
<snip>
int apc_request_shutdown()
{
    return 0;
}
/* }}} */

/* {{{ apc_deactivate */
void apc_deactivate()
{
<snip>

FYI: most of these files is not used by include(), but directly request by user-agent

calling apc_deactivate() in apc_request_shutdown()
"fixed" the bug
but it's never called, from the time apc 2.0 in imported cvs.php.net pear/apc
i don't know if will make apc unstable
 [2004-06-19 07:51 UTC] xuefer at 21cn dot com
it's been only till now, seems stable
can anyone commit it to cvs?
