Bug #56037 Request: Linked package name in bug report
Submitted: 2004-04-17 06:52 UTC Modified: 2004-05-19 09:56 UTC
From: thesaur@php.net Assigned: dufuz (profile)
Status: Closed Package: PECL bug system (PECL)
PHP Version: Irrelevant OS: Irrelevant
Private report: No CVE-ID: None
 [2004-04-17 06:52 UTC] thesaur@php.net
Description:
------------
It would be very handy to have the name of the package (displayed above the bug) linked to the package so that it would be easy to go from the bug report to the package.

The current setup seems to count on the fact that the visitor comes from the package homepage. When clicking on a link to a bug report on pear-dev, for example, it is highly unlikely that they in fact do. ;-)

I'll look into this soon, after I've finished moving the Bug system over to using DB. :)

btw. could you check if this issue isn't fixed now ... Seems to me all is good now anyway :)

Thanks!

Nope, still isn't linked. To make it clear, I'm talking about the package name displayed after the label "Package:" above the bug report.

Sorry, I just saw that you now have "Package Home" above all pages. Somehow I missed that before the comment. It really looks good. Disregard my previous comment.

This bug has been fixed in CVS.

In case this was a documentation problem, the fix will show up at the
end of next Sunday (CET) on pear.php.net.

In case this was a pear.php.net website problem, the change will show
up on the website in short time.

Thank you for the report, and for helping us make PEAR better.
