Doc Bug #53560 link() confusing parameter description
Submitted: 2010-12-16 23:29 UTC Modified: 2011-02-10 15:03 UTC

Private report: No CVE-ID: None

Description:
------------
---
From manual page: http://www.php.net/function.link#Parameters
---

the parameter 1 - "from_path" is described as "The link name"
the parameter 2 - "to_path" is described as "Target of the link"

I think that it is confusing and the descriptions should be swapped. It is inconsistent with the symlink() terminology which is correct IMHO. Maybe renaming the parameters as $existing_file and $new_hardlink would remove the confusion completely.
