Doc Bug #52132 Incorrect unlink example
Submitted: 2010-06-21 13:37 UTC Modified: 2010-06-21 13:47 UTC
From: paul dot lautman at gmail dot com Assigned: salathe (profile)
Status: Closed Package: Documentation problem
PHP Version: Irrelevant OS:
Private report: No CVE-ID: None
 [2010-06-21 13:37 UTC] paul dot lautman at gmail dot com
Description:
------------
On the manual page:
http://nl2.php.net/manual/en/function.unlink.php
the Examples show:
Basic unlink() usage:
<?php
$fh = fopen('test.html', 'a');
fwrite($fh, '<h1>Hello world!</h1>');
fclose($fh);
mkdir('testdir', 0777);
unlink('test.html');
unlink('testdir');
?>

But unlink is not valid for a directory (php issues a warning and does not delete
the directory)

This bug has been fixed in the documentation's XML sources. Since the

to get updated, we would like to ask you to be a bit patient.
