Bug #51346 Extra whitespace when using <type> and plural
Submitted: 2010-03-21 23:55 UTC Modified: 2010-03-24 16:21 UTC
From: degeberg@php.net Assigned: degeberg (profile)
Status: Closed Package: Doc Build problem
PHP Version: Irrelevant OS: Irrelevant
Private report: No CVE-ID: None
 [2010-03-21 23:55 UTC] degeberg@php.net
Description:
------------
The documentation contains things like "<type>string</type>s" and "<type>float</type>s" a lot of places. In the generated output, this results in markup like "<a href="foo">string"</a> s" ("string s").

Actually, it forces whitespace after <type>, so it gives problems with punctuation as well.

See http://php.net/string for examples.

It didn't use to that with older versions of PhD.

I cannot remember the reason for that commit, and since there is no bug report
attached to it I guess we can revert it...

This bug has been fixed in SVN. Since the websites are not directly
updated from the SVN server, the fix might need some time to spread
across the globe to all mirror sites, including PHP.net itself.

Thank you for the report, and for helping us make PHP.net better.
