[2010-02-08 21:03 UTC] pgacv2 at gmail dot com
Description:
------------
The "Requirements" page for the xdiff extension say that version 0.7 is required for those functions to be aware of memory_limit. However, the latest version offered on xdiff's homepage (http://www.xmailserver.org/xdiff-lib.html) and Freshmeat page (http://freshmeat.net/projects/xdiff-lib) is 0.23.

Reproduce code:
---------------
Go to http://www.php.net/manual/en/xdiff.requirements.php and read, "Note: You'll need at least libxdiff 0.7 for these functions to be aware of memory_limit."

Expected result:
----------------
libxdiff 0.7 to exist.

Actual result:
--------------
Latest version available is 0.23.

That info is correct afaict.

Do note that 0.23 is heckofalot newer then 0.7.
Thats a very very old note as you can see.

Rather the being such a explicit note it probably should be changed to
inline text though

Hm, my mistake then. My mind wasn't working in natural order mode; if it said "0.07" (with the extra leading zero), then it would have been clearer that 0.23 is much newer. But I understand PHP isn't responsible for the versioning scheme other projects use.

What do you mean by changing it to inline text?

I think the note is alright, considering you have to note that you need to atleast use 0.7 for it to be memory_limit aware.
