"June 6 2000" is interpreted as
"June 6, current year, 20 hours, 00 minutes"
(20 hours ahead of your first result)

"June 6, 2000" would be
   "June 6, year 2000"

and i'm sure there is more of this

i'll read the yacc/bison code and document its behavior,
and no, i wont change the code as it was 'not invented
here' and should stay consistent with other implementations
until we do not improve it in a more general way or even
rewrite it (e.g. to take month names long and short
from current locale plus english)

for now it will be some documentation clarifications only
