Bug #5005 PHP4 ISAPI module misbehaves on ACLS restricted virtual servers/directories

WIN NT 4.0
OPTION PACK 4.0 with IIS 4.0
Webserver with PHP4 Isapi module installed
virtual directory with ACLS restriction (anonymous access disabled) can not be accessed anymore with the proper username and password. I always get "401.1 Unauthorized: Logon Failed".

No probs the the cgi-version though.
No probs without ACLS access restrictions.

how come? will this be fixed in the near future or do I have to stick to the cgi version?

Have you tried a more recent release of PHP?  If so, does the problem still occur?  Also, note that the ISAPI version is not as stable as the CGI version...

Bug exists in 4.0.1pl2 - confirmed by user.
