Description:
------------
Although openssl reports itself as being enabled in phpinfo (version OpenSSL 0.9.8k-fips 25 Mar 2009 ), I get Fatal error: Call to undefined function openssl_digest() and similiar for other openssl functions.
Actually on PHP 5.2.9 as that is most recent FC11 package.
SSL is working in apache with mod_ssl loaded and certificates are in place (self cert - its a dev machine.)

Reproduce code:
---------------
$a = openssl_digest($data,$method);

Expected result:
----------------
output from the digest function as per docs.

Actual result:
--------------
( ! ) Fatal error: Call to undefined function openssl_digest() in /var/www/vhosts/zware/application/modules/test/controllers/IndexController.php on line 77
