Doc Bug #49083 3 things you can do with references

Description:
------------
http://us2.php.net/manual/en/language.references.whatdo.php

Near the bottom of this page (but before the notes), it says "The second thing references do". It later mentions a third thing that references do. Not remembering anything being mentioned as the first thing that references can do, I got a little confused. It took a bit of scrolling around and re-reading, but I eventually figured out the first thing was "PHP references allow you to make two variables to refer to the same content."

Reproduce code:
---------------
---
From manual page: language.references.whatdo
---

Log: Noted what the first thing is that references can do.
Addresses bug #49083.

Note that most of this page is redundant and should be folded into the
pages linked to; there are already places in the manual for this
information; they should be used.
