My configuration is


                    php4.0RC2 

                    apache1.3.12 

                    Red Hat Linux 6.1 i686



Adding an extension in the "ext" directory
"ext_skel" script and following its instructions fails.  Reproducible everytime on a fresh install of apache and php4.0RC2.  Is it meant for php3?
