The configure script does not make use of an additional include directory specified. Therefore the compile can not find my libgd header files.

Workaround: edit config_vars.mk and add a -I<path> for your includes to the INCLUDES directive

If you did use --with-gd=/prefix, then please tell us how the header/library files are structured under /prefix, so that we can add it to our configuration system. Thanks.
