Doc Bug #47310 Broken link in setcookie() docs
Submitted: 2009-02-04 17:51 UTC Modified: 2009-02-16 16:32 UTC
From: wiesemann@php.net Assigned:
Status: Closed Package: Documentation problem
PHP Version: Irrelevant OS:
Private report: No CVE-ID: None
 [2009-02-04 17:51 UTC] wiesemann@php.net
Description:
------------
The "Netscape cookie specification" link in the setcookie() docs is broken:
  http://cgi.netscape.com/newsref/std/cookie_spec.html
redirects to
  http://netscape.aol.com
and this again redirects (at least here) to
  http://www.aol.de/?src=netscape.aol.com

I wasn't able to find the specification somewhere else. Suggestion: Either remove the link or replace it by the latest archived version [*].

This bug has been fixed in the documentation's XML sources. Since the
online and downloadable versions of the documentation need some time
to get updated, we would like to ask you to be a bit patient.

Thank you for the report, and for helping us make our documentation better.

Fixed. There is a copy of the cookie spec on the cURL homepage at http://curl.haxx.se/rfc/cookie_spec.html, so I changed the link to point to that.
