Every once in a while (perhaps too often for comfort) a commit lands in   the CVS repository that breaks the Windows build on snaps.php.net. It usually takes a week or longer before one of the few people compiling HEAD on Windows realizes that something is wrong, and goes off to fix things in the repository.

I propose that the build-system should email php.internals if the Windows build fails. It will only do it when it first starts failing, at which point some sort of flag is set to prevent further emails until the build starts working again.

I'd supply a patch, but I can't find the script that performs the builds for snaps.php.net (only for pecl4win). Any pointers?

This bug has been fixed in SVN.

Snapshots of the sources are packaged every three hours; this change
will be in the next snapshot. You can grab the snapshot at
http://snaps.php.net/.

Thank you for the report, and for helping us make PHP better.

We do have notifications already, not on internals tho' as people were complaining 
and we disabled the mails.

Logs are available on snaps/ and we can add whoever likes to get notifications per  
email, just drop a mail to php-win-internals.
