Bug #42035 Bad french translation for description of Object Interfaces
Submitted: 2007-07-18 16:30 UTC Modified: 2007-07-19 20:54 UTC

Description:
------------
In http://www.php.net/manual/en/language.oop5.interfaces.php
the first sentence of the page:
"Object interfaces allow you to create code which specifies which methods a class must implement"
has been translated to:
"Les interfaces objet vous permettent de cr?er du code qui sp?cifie quelles m?thodes et variables une classe peut impl?menter"
in http://www.php.net/manual/fr/language.oop5.interfaces.php

This is a bad translation because
- "et variables" has been added in the translation but should have not;
- "peut" is no good translation for "must" because it means "may"! (This would mean that methods defined in an interface would be not mandatory in a class implementing the interface).

A better translation is:

"Les interfaces objet permettent de cr?er du code qui sp?cifie quelles m?thodes une classe doit impl?menter"

Note : I have also removed "vous" which is ok but bad style in this context.

This bug has been fixed in the documentation's XML sources. Since the
online and downloadable versions of the documentation need some time
to get updated, we would like to ask you to be a bit patient.

Thank you for the report, and for helping us make our documentation better.

Merci, n'h?site pas si tu en trouves d'autres, on manque un peu de contributeurs ces temps-ci.
