The "Errors/Exceptions" and "ChangeLog" sections on the getimagesize documentation page should mention that E_NOTICE is now generated instead of E_WARNING.  I'm not sure which PHP version first had this change, but PHP 5.2.3 gets E_NOTICE.

Please do not submit the same bug more than once. An existing
bug report already describes this very problem. Even if you feel
that your issue is somewhat different, the resolution is likely
to be the same.

Fixed in bug #41321.
