Building PHP 3.0.15 on a RedHat 6.1 system (with all updates as of 3/17/00) with IBM DB2 (v6.1) support enabled as a dynamic apache module creates a situation whereby apache both strace and gdb report httpd "exited normally" while starting up.

my configure line:

./configure --with-ibm-db2 --with-apxs=/usr/sbin/apxs \
--with-config-file-path=/etc --with-xml

make and make install execute cleanly.

DB2 is installed, and operates properly; the DB2 SDK is installed.

This build works fine if the "--with-ibm-db2" is omitted, OR if done on a RH 6.0 system.

If any addidional information would be helpful, *please* let me know:-)

Thanks-

We are sorry, but can not support PHP 3 related problems anymore.
Momentum is gathering for PHP 5, and we think supporting PHP 3 will
lead to a waste of resources which we want to put into getting PHP 5
ready. Ofcourse PHP 4 will will continue to be supported for the
forseeable future.
