As in bug #26277 I've stumbled few times on ./configure error:

"configure: error: xml2-config not found. Please check your libxml2 installation."

This suggests libxml2 installation, but:
> yum install libxml2
...
libxml2 is installed and is the latest version.


I think it would be much more helpful if that message mentioned that libxml2-devel package is needed as well.

Taking into account that PHP can be installed on systems that do not have libxml2-devel, but still have xml2-config, adding such message would not make any sense to me.
