php-3.0.15 and apache 1.3.12 do not compile  under solaris :

php.h defines memcpy as a macro to bcopy, then string.h
which declares memcpy is included later by ap_config.h.
Thus the declaration is expanded with the macro and the
result does not suit the compiler.

php-3.0.14 and apache 1.3.12 seems compatible.

Compiling PHP 3.0.15 with Apache 1.3.12 as a static Apache module works for me on Solaris 7. Please let us know the detailed error messages you encounter as well as more information about your configuration.
