This is a recent bug since it used to work with most of the 5.1 release candidates. See the sample. The line with the comment is the last line of the php code

Reproduce code:

echo 'hello';
//last line comment

Expected result:
----------------
hello

Actual result:
--------------
Fatal error: fatal flex scanner internal error--end of buffer missed in .....\php-bug35382.php on line 3

This bug has been fixed in CVS.

Snapshots of the sources are packaged every three hours; this change
will be in the next snapshot. You can grab the snapshot at
http://snaps.php.net/.
