mail.force_extra_parameters became effective by mb_send_mail() by PHP 4.4.1RC1.
I also want mail() to confirm this.

mb_send_mail() is the upper compatible function of mail().
Therefore, this is not "The addition of a feature", it is "fixed bug".

This bug has been fixed in CVS.

Snapshots of the sources are packaged every three hours; this change
