I have Redhat 5.2. Compiled kernel 2.2.12. Apache-1.3.6, apache-devel-1.3.? and MySQL-3.22.27 is installed. I also installed freetype-devel (all by rpm packages). I have a 486dx-50 with 8M ram. During configuration, the following error happens and stops.

"error: Invalid MySQL directory - unable to find mysql.h..."

Actually, the MySQL rpm package doesn't seem to make any mysql.h file. It doesn't exist in my system.

Pls help.

Compiling MySQL from source will solve this problem. You can download it at http://www.mysql.com/
