When I go to:

http://www.php.net/downloads.php

and click on:

"PHP 5.0.1 installer - 13 Aug 2004"

Under the "Windows Binaries" section, I get:

Download not found
The file you requested (php-5.0.1-installer.exe) is not found on this server (http://www.php.net/). If this file is a recent addition to our downloads, then it is possible that this particular server is not yet updated to host that file for download. Please come back to this server later, or start the download from another mirror site. 
########################

Any idea where I can find another download mirror or?

Some mirror sites have problems with the executable files. The problem should be fixed as the mirrors update, until then you can use il.php.net for example, to download the installer:

  http://il.php.net/downloads.php
