When executing PHP scripts under PHP4b3 my httpd processes are jumping to extraordinarily high CPU usage [monitored via `top`].

Any script of decent size does this - I've not been able to narrow it down to any particular 'thing'.

Additionally, an infinite loop or recursive require's will actually cause httpd to runaway and NEARLY kill my machine, consuming all memory + swap and most cpu.

PHP is built very standard with only the MySQL module compiled in. Apache is built with only the PHP module built in.

I'll gladly provide you with telnet access to my host if you'd like to check it out further!
