I'm compiling PHP 4.0b3 with Apache 1.3.9, using gcc 2.7.2.1 (the one that came with FreeBSD). I configured Apache, then did on php tree:

./configure --with-mysql --with-apache=../apache_1.3.9 --enable-track-vars

make

PHP starts compiling fine, but suddenly it reports:

/bin/sh ../../libtool --silent --mode=compile gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I../.. -I../../libzend -I../.. -I../../libzend -I/usr/src/apache_1.3.9/src/include -I/usr/src/apache_1.3.9/src/os/unix -I/usr/local/include/mysql -g -O2 -g -O2 -c -o array.lo array.c

array.c: In function `php3_reset':
array.c:582: `return_value_used' undeclared (first use of this function)

*** Error code 1

Stop.

array.c is located in ext/standard
