php.ini can not be found even it has been put in /usr/local/lib. In other words, we can not change the defaulted setting. And the option "--with-config-file-path" in configuration is ignored.

Works fine. You're just doing something wrong. (try the latest snapshot, to be sure you have clean sources..)

(or you're passing wrong information to the configure option..)

Well, Bug #27962 is removed in PHP5-2004041230 (CVS).
