the following constants are not available in scripts:
IPC_CREAT
IPC_EXCL
IPC_NOWAIT

Also, if there was an ability to use IPC_NOWAIT on sem_acquire, it would enable a way to test if something is blocking on a semaphore.

IPC_NOWAIT would be great to have. I've seen patches on the web that were submitted for inclusion but were not perfect enough.
